Case Study 2: Food Fest

I had participated in Cultural Food Festival which was held on my school campus last year, 2021
The problem. I was a cook who rolled Kimbap and cut, and other Korean members also participated in to prepare ingredients for the food, wrap the Kimbap, fry chicken, and put them into containers. We thought we measure the ingredients perfectly for per roll of Kimbap but seaweed and a couple of ingredients were lacking, and to make matters worse, late announcement delivery makes the leader busy running around everywhere, our booth didn't have a leader to hand the problems. We had to deal with it by ourselves.
The solution. We decided to respect everyone's opinions and decided to roll the Kimbap with only the ingredients we have. One of the members first went to buy more seaweed because that is must-have ingredient. Rest of them made agreement how much ingredients we put from at point to evenly distribute them all rolls. When the leaders came back from more announcement and changes, we quickly applied them so that the student leader booth wouldn't tell us stop making and the leader can supervise easily. For less ingredient Kimbap rolls, we lowered around 3~4 dollars from original price.
The result. We ended up selling all Kimbap rolls, even earlier than fried Chicken. Because our members obeyed and dealt with sudden late announcement, we were able to continue to cook without interruption of student leader booth and earn a sum close to the expected amount. It was huge event that almost all students on campus participate. I was not only my contribution but also other team members cooperation.
